Who runs this site
whatisanelevatorpitch.com runs itself and is responsible for the small amount of data described on this page. Questions and requests go to hello@whatisanelevatorpitch.com.
The timer and the tabs
The lift timer, the room tabs and the button that hides the colored parts all run inside your browser. Nothing you do with them is sent anywhere, and the timer never listens to or records your voice.
What gets counted
Reading the page needs no account, name or email. A small script notes that the page loaded, the site that sent you here, how far you scrolled, and whether you tapped one of the warm-up links. It also sends your browser language, your operating system, your screen and window size, your time zone, and a random number kept in your browser, so a return visit is not counted twice. Your approximate country comes from your IP address; the full address is not kept.
Where the counts go
These counts pass through this site's own server to an analytics provider that stores them in the European Union. We use them to learn which parts of the page help readers. They are never sold and never shared with advertisers.
Cookies and browser storage
No cookies are set. Your browser keeps the random number, a session marker that runs out after half an hour of quiet, and a note if you closed the small bar at the bottom of a phone screen. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes all of it. With scripts or trackers blocked, the page still works and nothing is counted.
The warm-up links
Links that mention a warm-up go to /pitch-drill on this site. That address looks only at your browser's user agent: Android phones are sent to the Confidently page on Google Play, with the link's place on the page passed along as a referrer, and every other device is sent to the Confidently page on the App Store. Nothing is stored at that step. Once you reach a store, its own privacy terms and the app's apply.
Your choices
Write to the address above and anything linked to your random number will be deleted. Since nothing here knows your name, clearing the site data in your browser is the quickest way to break that link yourself.
